2008 Prowers County Assembly Dinner

It was another outstanding year for the Democratic Assembly and Convention in Prowers County. The Colorado Room at the Cow Palace was packed and the energy was high!

Colorado State Party Vice Chair Dan Slater was on a mission to pick up his kids from Spring Break in Amarillo, but made time in his trip schedule to stop in and speak to us as the attendees were settling in. It was a nice surprise, and a pleasant reminder that even though Prowers County is one of the furthest-flung Colorado counties, Headquarters doesn't forget us.

Betsy Markey
One of our special guests was Betsy Markey, running for Congress in CD4 to defeat the incumbent, Marilyn MustGo Musgrave. It was a great start to what we hope will be a very successful run.
This was our night for special surprise guests. Luckily for us, Governor Bill Ritter was attending a dinner the same evening in Bent County, and staying at the Cow Palace so he could be up bright and early to be the guest of honor at the PCDI banquet. So as soon as he got checked in, he came to visit with us a while. Governor Bill Ritter
