One special event of the evening was a surprise award to Darrell Seufer, thanking him for his years of service to the Democratic Party in general and Prowers County in particular. He served sixteen years as a Prowers County Commissioner. |

Luckily for us, Governor Bill Ritter was attending a dinner the same evening in Bent County, and staying at the Cow Palace so he could be up bright and early to be the guest of honor at the PCDI banquet.
